Detailed Itinerary
Days 1-2: Arrival in Taiwan!
After following the sun over the West Coast of the United States and the Pacific Ocean, you arrive in Taiwan. Settle in and get ready to discover a new world.
Upon arrival in Taiwan, you'll be warmly welcomed by your Tour Director, who will be your knowledgeable guide and companion throughout your journey in Taiwan. After introductions and a brief overview of the tour, you will board a comfortable coach to transfer to your hotel. After settling into your accommodations, you'll have the chance to freshen up and relax before embarking on your first adventure.
The orientation meeting will take place at the hotel, where your tour director will provide an in-depth briefing on the exciting days ahead. You'll learn about Taiwan’s unique culture and all of the experiences that await you. This is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and get to know your fellow travelers.
After settling in, visit the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, a grand monument that honors the former President of the Republic of China. Witness the impressive changing of the guards ceremony, a display of precision and discipline.

Day 3: Taipei's Culinary and Urban Exploration
Immerse yourself in Taiwanese culture with a hands-on cooking class, where you'll learn about the traditional styles and flavors of Taiwanese cuisine. After savoring your creations, head to Taipei 101. Once the world's tallest building, its observation deck on the 89th-91st floors offers stunning views of the city. The high-speed elevator ride to the top is an experience in itself.
For a different perspective of Taipei, hike up Elephant Peak. The trail provides a fantastic vantage point for panoramic views of Taipei 101 and the cityscape.
In the evening, explore the bustling Shilin Night Market, a hub of activity and a food lover's paradise, offering a wide array of local street foods and shopping opportunities.

Day 4: Taipei's Natural and Historical Wonders
Venture to Yehliu Geopark, known for its extraordinary rock formations, including the iconic Queen’s Head. The park's lunar-like landscape is a geology enthusiast's dream.
Later, visit Jiufen, a charming village that gained fame during the gold rush era. Its narrow lanes and historic teahouses offer a glimpse into a bygone era.
Continue to Shifen Old Street, a former coal-mining town now famous for its sky lanterns and the scenic Shifen Waterfall. The area's rich industrial history contrasts with its current lively atmosphere, making it a fascinating stop.

Day 5: Miaoli Hakka Museum, Travel to Taichung
Travel to Taichung to visit the 921 Earthquake Museum, which offers a poignant look at the impact of the 1999 earthquake and Taiwan's resilience in its aftermath.
Then, in Miaoli, explore the Taiwan Hakka Museum, celebrating the unique Hakka culture. Participate in making traditional Hakka Lei Cha (pounded tea) and mochi.

Day 6: Sun Moon Lake's Serenity
At Sun Moon Lake, delve into the local tea culture with a tasting session, learning about the significance of tea in Taiwanese society. Enjoy a tranquil boat ride on the lake, taking in the serene beauty of the surrounding mountains and waters.

Day 7: Chiayi & Tainan's Historical Insights
Discover Hinoki Village in Chiayi, a testament to Taiwan's logging history during the Japanese era. Explore the Alishan Forest Railway Garage Park, where you can see historic steam trains and learn about the area's railway heritage.
Travel to Tainan, visit Anping Old Fort and stroll through Anping Old Street, a blend of history and vibrant local life.

Day 8: Tainan's Environmental and Cultural Richness
Explore the Sicao Mangrove Green Tunnel, a natural wonder offering a glimpse into Taiwan's diverse ecosystems, by a magnificent boat ride.
Then, back in Tainan, visit historical landmarks like Chikanlou and the Grand Mazu Temple, immersing in the city's rich heritage.

Day 9: Taipei's Historical and Cultural Finale
Travel by high speed train back to Taipei.
Visit the National Martyrs’ Shrine, a site commemorating fallen soldiers. Spend time in Ximending, a vibrant shopping and entertainment district. Explore Dadaocheng and Dihua Street, areas rich in history and traditional Taiwanese culture.
