DAYS 1-2: Arrival in Nice, Tour Director-led Walking Tours, Welcome Reception
Arrival Nice
As your flight gently descends over the azure waters of the Mediterranean, the picturesque city of Nice welcomes you. Upon landing at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, you're greeted by the pleasant Mediterranean climate and the gentle sea breeze, signaling the start of your Riviera adventure.
A comfortable transfer takes you to your chosen accommodation. Once checked in, take some time to relax and acclimatize to the laid-back yet sophisticated atmosphere of Nice. Perhaps take a casual stroll along the beach or simply enjoy the views from your hotel.
Tour director-led walking tour along the Promenade des Anglais
Enjoy a walking tour along the Promenade des Anglais, which is said to be Europe's most handsome boulevard (see the luxury yachts from the world over). Time permitting, venture down side streets into the Old Town, known as Vieux-Nice.

Pause at the tricolor and gigantic #ILOVENICE sign installed by the graphic artist Gilbert Bochenek in 2017. It's been a popular selfie site on the famous Promenade ever since.
Tour director-led walking tour to Nice’s Cours Saleya Market
Explore the typically Mediterranean marché held on Cours Saleya. See colorful displays of fruits and vegetables. Shop for almonds, olives or lavande and sample the various local perfumes. Don't miss the renowned flower market (Marché aux Fleurs), also on Cours Saleya.

For a splendid overview of the city and its bay, you will take the elevator to the Colline du Château, where a park surrounds the remnants of an old fort.

Optional Excursion to Antibes
Visit the city called Antipolis by the Greeks, who founded it in the 4th century BC. Nowadays, the recently-created city of Sophia-Antipolis, in the hills above Antibes, is one of the most advanced research centers in France.
Stroll in Antibes' Old Town, starting at the harbor, where the vieux port now lies next to a modern marina. Walk through an ancient arch to reach the market, filled with colorful stalls in the morning, then wander through narrow streets or walk along the city walls for splendid views of the sea. Landmarks include the Grimaldi Castle, which rises above the town (Picasso lived there!); the medieval parish church, which was once a cathedral; and Place du Safranier, a square near the house in which Nikos Kazantzakis wrote Zorba the Greek in 1946.
Picasso Museum
Visit the Grimaldi Castle, a medieval fortress overtaken by the Grimaldi family in the 14th century. It now houses a collection of works by Pablo Picasso, who lived in the castle for a few months in 1946.Embark on a cruise along the Mediterranean coast, enjoying the sea breeze and stunning coastal views.
Optional Excursion to St. Jean-Cap-Ferrat
Board your coach for the drive to St. Jean-Cap-Ferrat, a town located on a cape that juts into the Mediterranean Sea.
Visit to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild with audioguide
Explore the estate of the Baroness Beatrice de Rothschild, a member of a famous banking family who married another wealthy banker, Maurice Ephrussi. Her opulent pink place, built in 1905 in a splendid location by the bay, is filled with period furniture, tapestries, porcelain and artwork. Your visit also includes the 9 themed gardens enhanced by Musical fountains and aquatic shows choreographed to classical music.
Afternoon tea and cake at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild
It's the elegant setting, it's the splendor of a garden terrace overlooking a clear-blue Mediterranean bay, in a word, this is a perfect setting to enjoy a light afternoon tea.

Day 4: Optional Excursion, Free Time, Farewell Dinner

Make your way to the SNCF station to board a train bound for the glittering Riviera city known as Le Rocher (The Rock).
Visit to Monaco Cathedral
Enter the neo-Romanesque Cathédrale to view the graves, always covered with flowers, of Prince Rainier III (1923-2005) and his American wife, Grace Kelly (1929-1982), the 1954 Academy Award Best Actress, who became Princess Grace in 1956.

View the Palais des Princes de Monaco, where the Changing of the Guard takes place every midday. Before being the official residence of Prince Albert II and his family, It was home to his father, Prince Rainier and his bride from Philadelphia, Grace Kelly. Time permitting, consider a visit to Jacques Cousteau's Oceanographic Institute, whose aquarium was the world's first of its kind.
Free time in Nice
Enjoy some free time in Nice.
Stop at the Confiserie Florian du Vieux-Nice, a candy shop located near the old port. Confections include fresh fruits grown locally and transformed into delicious sweets and chocolate-covered treats.
Don't miss the Musée Chagall, which highlights one of the artist's major works, Le Message Biblique.
Explore the Christmas Village set up on Place Masséna during the month of December. See its enchanted fir forest and wooden chalets filled with seasonal goods. All around there are concerts, parades, ice sculpture contests, a glittering Ferris wheel and other attractions.
Check out the renowned flower market, le marché aux fleurs.
You may want to venture down the side streets into the Vieux-Nice.
