Free Time in Paris?

Do you have some free time in Paris during your tour? Consider checking out some off-the-beaten-path recommendations from our Passports staff.

A close walk from Notre Dame, you’ll find Le Mur des Justes (The Wall of the Righteous), a memorial to 3900 French citizens who risked their lives to help save Jews in France during the Second World War. It’s a hidden historical gem away from the tourist crowds. - Julian, Operations

Check out a free concert at one of the churches in Paris. At St. Sulpice church (mentioned in the Da Vinci Code), it’s also possible to go up to the organ loft to meet the organist at certain times. - Martine, Operations

Take a stroll and do some people watching in Jardin du Luxembourg (Luxembourg Gardens). Watching the gentlemen playing petanque is reminiscent of a film scene. - Kathy, Tour Advisor

Return to the Eiffel tower at night to see the sparkly lights (on the hour)! - David, Passports President

Visit the Galeries Lafayette and don’t forget to check out the views of Paris from the rooftop. Another place to find great views is Montparnasse Observation Deck! - Hilary, Tour Advisor

Take time to visit the Catacombes de Paris, underground ossuaries in a tunnel network beneath the streets of Paris. - Paul, Tour Advisor
